Course Description:
This course will be a very basic introduction to writing in the IEW Style & Structure. The first semester will cover beginning writing skills, starting from basic sentence structure, including writing mechanics and basic grammar, building up to a simple 5-sentence paragraph. The technique reinforces spelling, vocabulary, reading fluency, and comprehension. The second semester will guide students through 1/2 of the designated curriculum***. Poetry, Grammar, and Literature (book club) will complement this core class.
